Our story
Portes en Provence was born from the passion of a young entrepreneurial couple. Our company showcases traditional craftsmanship in woodworking, patina finishing, and ironwork.
Driven by a love for artisanal workmanship, we restore and preserve period joinery to safeguard and enhance the unique heritage of our region: Provence.

Who are we ?
As passionate young entrepreneurs, we founded our company with the desire to preserve traditional craftsmanship while bringing a modern and exacting vision to the trade.
Behind our workshop is a dedicated and close-knit team, united by a passion for quality workmanship and a love of wood. Fabien, co-founder, oversees the company’s management and development. A true cornerstone, he ensures its stability and allows each team member to work under the best possible conditions. At his side, Sara, co-founder, brings a uniquely valuable perspective: after more than ten years of experience in retail, she retrained as a woodworker. Present both in the woodworking atelier and with clients, she seamlessly connects technical expertise with attentive guidance.
Together, we share the same passion: preserving and elevating our artisanal heritage.

Reproduction
In our atelier, we create reproductions of antique furniture, shutters, and doors, whether the original pieces are too damaged or need to be recreated from period photographs. Each piece is carefully studied to respect its proportions, mouldings, and historical style. Our artists, trained in traditional techniques, work meticulously to preserve the authenticity and story of each element while producing faithful and elegant reproductions.
Thanks to this expertise, we bring master piece back to life with all their original charm and spirit. Each reproduction is a true revival of heritage, crafted in the purest respect of tradition.
Finish and Patina
Patina work and finishing are at the heart of our identity and represent our true artisanal signature. Each piece is crafted with meticulous care to achieve a unique result, where the natural beauty of the wood is enhanced through precise and traditional techniques. Our craftsmen devote particular attention to every detail, creating distinctive textures and subtle nuances that reveal the soul of each piece of furniture, door, or shutter.

Restoration
We restore furniture, doors, and shutters promoting the traditional craftsmanship. Each project is carried out with full respect of traditional techniques, combining precision, patience, and passion to bring antique pieces back to life. Through this traditional approach, every restored item becomes a unique piece—a reflection of heritage where aesthetics and durability come together in perfect harmony.
Ironwork
To fully complete our expertise, we collaborate with an master blacksmith renowned for the quality and authenticity of his creations.
Specialising in traditional finishes, he designs pieces crafted entirely by hand, with meticulous attention to detail. Each element of ironwork is custom-made to harmonise perfectly with our traditional joinery.
This approach ensures both aesthetic and technical coherence, remaining faithful to the original spirit of the work.
Through this collaboration, every creation becomes a unique master piece, combining the nobility of iron handmade crafts with the refinement of artisanal joinery.
